Rhythms of Limerick

All cities have their unique rhythm of life.
Limerick is no exception. It is so quiet and empty here in the morning hours when in the capital cities it is no longer possible to fit into transport. Here, it seems the city is still sleeping, although coffee is already being brewed, and toasters are spitting out toasted bread.
TRAFFIC starts at 8 am. The roads are instantly filled with cars - it will be crowded for the next couple of hours while everyone leaves for schools and offices. The bustle of business begins on the streets, and at the deli, people line up for fresh chicken rolls - this will last until about 4 pm.
Then the townspeople are divided into two parts - some, tired after a day of work, move towards home, and others are at the beginning of their evening life! Pubs open their doors and happily welcome everyone to drop in for a pint or two, relax, and watch a sports match.
Around 8 pm, traffic begins to calm down again - buses increase the interval between rides, and people begin to disperse from pubs to their homes (after all, they are back to work tomorrow).
After 21:00 on the streets, you can meet dog walkers, runners, and rare citizens who run late for home. The exception is the city center, between 101 and Pharmacia, where carefree youth continue to buzz until midnight. From there, the last taxis will leave around 2 am, and before the start of the next day's bustle, silence reigns in the city, broken only by rare passing cars (probably, someone is early for the airport)
The remnants of this silence can be found if you have to go to work at seven in the morning like I did today :) I am not complaining - I have already joined the rhythm of the Limerick tides. Early morning coffee and fresh buns await at SPAR, and after sunset, you can, without a twinge of conscience, lazily bask under a warm blanket and relax.
